Ruth Spaaks recycled sculpture workshop

Event Description: A fun family activity for both children and adults. Families can work together to create their own sculptures out of a variety of exciting recycled materials such as drain covers, washers, bicycle wheels and bottletops working together with anyone who wants to participate to embellish, decorate, weave through and add colour and texture using many different found, reused and recycled objects.

Ruth taught textiles for many years after which she retrained as a designer maker specialising in glass and mixed media. Ruth runs many workshops all country ranging from large community projects to small one day workshops.  

Ruth will be exhibiting later on this year at the British Glass Biennale.
