Managing business impact on climate change

Event Description: Climate change has become a leading issue with businesses under increasing pressure to adopt practices that reduce their environmental impact. But how does a company start to adopt these practices? And what practices should a company adopt? This seminar provides some ideas of practical actions that businesses can take to start controlling and reducing their impact. In particular the seminar will focus on:

-    A brief background of climate change and its scientific, political and business dimensions
-    The role of Environmental Management Systems in reducing environmental impacts
-    Case studies from businesses who have successfully engaged in environmental management
